This section of our web-site is dedicated to the players, coaches, parents,
volunteers and sponsors that have helped to make the
Toronto IceDogs Hockey Club the success it has been over the years. Please note that from the 1987/88 to 2004/05 seasons, the club was called the Weston Hawks.

2005/2006 Season

The Toronto IceDogs Minor Midget “AA” team emerged champions in the 2005 Paul Coffey Tournament. The IceDogs started the tourney with a 0-0 tie against the London Junior Knights.  Their only loss in round robin play was against the home team [Mississauga Jets].  The IceDogs came back in the semi-finals to defeat London 4-1.  The championship game matched the IceDogs with the Humber Valley Sharks [this season’s Carnation Cup Winner] the IceDogs were victorious with a 4-1 win.

The Toronto IceDogs Minor Midget "A" team went undefeated during the Clancy tournament until the championship game, only to lose with a score of 4 to 2, the last goal being an empty net shot. The following weekend however, the team went to the Pickering Hockey Tournament. There the team was 3 and 1 during the round robin play, and faced the West Mall Lightning in a semi-final game. It came down to four over time periods, first playing 5-on-5, then 4-on-4, then 3-on-3 and finally 2-on-2 before a winning goal allowed them to advance to the final. In the final game they won with 2 to 1 with the winning goal coming with a minute-forty left on the clock in regulation time.
